The LH3000 is a long range wireless doorbell kit we have put together based on our customer feedback and it works great! If your office location is like ours, wiring for a new doorbell is tough to do. We get deliveries to the back warehouse but hearing the driver is difficult.
Based on this and our customers' needs, we developed a wireless doorbell kit, the LH3000. The kit is composed of two peices, the UT3000 (Universal Trasnmitter) by Dakota Alert and the WR3000 plug-in receiver. The UT3000 is the transmitter, it has a built-in button you can use as a doorbell. When pushed, it sends a wireless signal to the WR-3000.
The UT-3000 is a great little product. It has Terminals for NO (Normally Open) and NC (Noramally Closed) which means you can also wire other products to it. As an example, you could wire a strobe light to it. In noisy environments, the strobe will help others see.
The WR-3000 receiver is a plug in receiver. It plugs into a standard wall outlet. It has a volume control and has four zones. You could add additional UT-3000's and group them by zones, and also add additional products and accessories from the Dakota 3000 serises of products. You could also add additional WR-3000 receivers as well to hear the doorbell chime from additional locations.
We also offer the LH3000P which contains the same UT-3000 transmitter but has the PR-3000 Portable Handheld Receiver rather than the plugin WR-3000 receiver.
Please note. The UT3000 is not outdoor rated. If you are using it under a covered area, protected from direct rain, it should funtion well. However, if you need a pushbutton outdoors, we recommend one of the Thomas and Betts push buttons. You would simply wire the doorbell to the terminals on the UT-3000.
